Medical Disclaimer
Maternal Care Hub provides general maternal health education, not medical advice.
Last updated 1 November 2026. This page is a starting draft and should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before launch.
General education, not medical advice
Information on Maternal Care Hub, including articles, podcasts and outreach materials, is for general education only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Always consult a professional
Always seek the advice of a doctor, midwife, nurse or other qualified healthcare provider about your health or your pregnancy. Never ignore professional advice or delay seeking it because of something you read or heard on this website.
Emergencies
If you have heavy bleeding, fits, a severe headache, severe abdominal pain, fever, difficulty breathing, reduced baby movements or any other worrying symptom, go to the nearest health facility or contact emergency services immediately.
Clinical review
Medical content is reviewed by appropriately qualified healthcare professionals before publication. Each article shows its author, its clinical reviewer where applicable and the date it was last reviewed. Articles marked as pending clinical review have not yet completed that review.
Not a healthcare provider
Maternal Care Hub is an education and community-support platform, not a hospital, clinic or emergency service. Sessions booked through WhatsApp are educational and support sessions. We do not currently offer medical consultations, diagnosis or prescriptions.
